Dr. Shelton is a licensed and registered doctor of naturopathic medicine. He obtained a bachelor's degree in biochemistry and a master’s degree in philosophy from the University of Kansas and a doctorate of naturopathic medicine from Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. 

 

Dr. Shelton has completed clinical internships at Bastyr University, the Casanova Clinic in Lima, Peru, and the Leonardis Clinic in Bad Hellibrun, Germany. He is a member of both the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the Illinois Association of Naturopathic Medicine.  

 

For the past 16 years, Dr. Shelton has focused strongly on investigative and clinical research to educate physicians and patients across the country on the safest and most efficacious diagnostic and treatment methodologies in medicine. He was the creator and developer of Whole Body Health, a multidisciplinary family practice in Kansas City for many years and left in 2009 to become the co-founder and Chief Medical Advisor of Innovative Telemedicine Outreach Programs to service patients around the world specializing in weight loss, nutrition, hormone balancing, and Erectile Dysfunction. During this time, Dr. Shelton was hired by The University Compounding Pharmacy in San Diego, California as the head Physician and Pharmacist Consultant.

 

Dr. Shelton was most recently the Wellness Director at Pacific Quest, a therapeutic wilderness program for adolescents and young adults on the Big Island of Hawaii.  Here his focus has been to work with a truly integrated medical and wellness team to manage the clinical and medical complexity of each student for behavioral and psychiatric conditions that are increasingly plaguing our brightest and struggling next generation. Diet and nutrition, therapeutic exercise, horticultural therapy, mind/body dynamics, naturopathic supplementation, and medication management have all been integral components of care.      

 

Dr. Shelton is the Chief Medical Director for Zenith Labs, an international company specializing creating highly researched content and nutritional supplements to promote health and wellness.  Zenith Labs began in 2015 and has experienced tremendous growth and interest with individual patients, social media, and corporate entities. To foster these goals, Dr Shelton has developed educational programs emphasizing unique and comprehensive approaches to health.
